About 2 weeks ago he found his toes and it is so cute; he grabs them and rocks back and forth. He has also been nice enough to hold his legs up for me when I am changing his diaper, of course he then puts his feet flat on the ground and arches his back so I can't put the new diaper on him without a fight, but that is beside the point. Around the same time, he started to kind of roll over. He would get ALMOST all the way onto his stomach but he couldn't get his arm free. But he kept doing that every once in a while. Well, this week he has really gotten the hang of it. I can't put him in on his back without him rolling over seconds after. He does it perfectly! He even manages to get his arm up and out without any trouble. The funny part is that he doesn't actually want to be on his tummy! He makes me laugh so much, he rolls over and hangs out for a minute and then starts to yell because he decides he doesn't want to be there and he can roll back, but he hasn't gotten that part down yet.
Well yesterday morning at 5:30am I hear him start to grunt, please note that he has been sleeping through the night, with little to no noise, until 7:00am, consistently for quite a while now, so I know that something is up. Well I let him struggle for minute, but then he started to scream! So I got out of bed to check on him, and he had rolled onto his tummy in his sleep and he was MAD about it! So I rolled him back over and he went right back to sleep. Then this morning he woke up again at 5:30am but when I rolled him over, he rolled back, I rolled him over, he rolled back, I rolled him over and he was mad and awake, so I gave up and got him out of bed. So when he went down for his nap and then woke up screaming an hour later because he had rolled over again, I decided to let him cry to see if he would give up and just sleep on his tummy...
...This was the result! Hahaha, he buried his face in the bed and stuck his little bum into the air. It was so cute. Of course I then checked on him every 2 minutes to make sure he was still breathing, but he did fine. I had to wake him up to eat, so we was sleeping really well.
Here is a video of him rolling over and then yelling about it (hopefully it works).
