Bear Lake is such a beautiful place. My family has a cabin up there and I spent most of my childhood going up there on the weekends. I love it up there; it is one of my most favorite vacation spots. I was only able to go up two weekends this year (when my sister from New York was in town), but it was awesome. Well it was mostly awesome... I have realized recently what a spoiled brat I am. When Brigham and I first got married we slept on the taco-like Queen size bed that I had (he was sleeping on a Twin mattress on the floor!) and a little over a year ago we decided that we needed a better/bigger/newer mattress when we stayed in a hotel on our way to Denver to visit his brother and we realized that when we got up in the morning our backs did not hurt! What a novel thing... sleeping comfortably all night and waking up refreshed instead of achy. So the next weekend we went and bought a new mattress and bed frame and now we sleep WONDERFULLY on our California King princess bed. Now at this point I am sure you are wondering what in the world this has to do with Bear Lake, so let me tell you. When we go up there, the room that Brigham and I sleep in has a Full size bed, and it is pretty clear that most of the people that sleep on this bed are by themselves and they sleep in the middle. Long story short, we are not small people and going from sleeping on a giant bed to that tiny taco bed means we do not sleep well or long. So while we were up there we both woke up around 6am everyday. Instead of staying in our room until a more reasonable time, we got up and took Phoebe down to the beach since that was the only time she could be down there off her leash to enjoy her three favorite things, being outside, running and dirt!
Here are some pictures of those beautiful mornings.
Phoebe didn't mind the water as long as it didn't go above her little ankles
Brigham went to fetch her when we crossed water that was too deep for her
She thinks he wants to play so she runs away
Waiting...
.....
Caught her!
As she was running, she came across some mud holes that people had dug out and she did really well dodging all the mounds and holes until one... dodged the mound right into the hole! Hahaha! So she got really muddy and dirty
Here are the mounds and mud holes
I am glad I could help motivate you guys to get up to bear lake. And sorry to hear about the bed, hahaha
